5 BEING THE BEST

Rated "5" by Casi Wilson aka "Casarole"

To describe this show in one word would be-wow!

Stevie and Don have an amazing chemistry and put on a great show. Stevie looked great and sang great and so did Don. I think that this concert was worth every penny!

WOW WOW WOW.. What a difference a day makes!! Just got back not too long ago from the show. What a weekend I've had. Any concerns that I had lingering from the Detroit show are gone.

Don's set was great. Simply great. I totally find him more outgoing than what I have seen reported, and will see him any time I can in the future. Great, great songs. My seats were fantastic..about 12 rows back center aisle. Stevie did not have the gloves on..and it seemed like her outfits were a little different tonight..maybe I'm nuts. But I can vouch that she looks great. The rhinestone pants during Don's set were totally hot. While not a toothpick, she has lost weight especially since the end of the 2004 SYW tour. I knew tonight would be special when Stevie was actually jumping on stage a bit during DON's set!

The crowd seemed MUCH more appreciative, and into the music tonight. In fact Don had the place standing through most of the last 1/2 of his set, and he seemed to really be feeding off it. By the time Stevie came out the place was a complete frenzy..I mean nuts especially down by the stage. Stevie just didn't miss a beat..Outside the Rain/Dreams was beautiful..she played with the words in OTR..awesome ending into Dreams..she was just headlong "into it". Dreams seemed really touching tonight..not as scripted as on the SYW tour.

Rhiannon was the best I've seen. GDW..flawless tonight, except Don's voice seemed to have a little hitch in it on parts. But still good/interesting to have that as a duet. Stevie gave us a little extra GDW wail.

Circle Dance..YES, I wish Stevie would do her own stuff, I guess, but this was a BEAUTIFUL duet with Don. The vocal blend gave my chills. Moreover, Stevie's dad flew in for father's day so she dedicated it to him. She was beaming when she told us about her Dad being there.

SDMHA, same as last night perfect, but again even more into it if possible. Not just here, but throughout the show Stevie was dancing, bouncing, spinning..and it wasn't just the few "scripted ones".

Band Intros...more animated. Stevie really is fond of Carlos... hmmm. She told us tonight (as she's looking at him) that "he helped her through the really bad times" and then turned to the audience and said " you know me, you know when those were". wow..

Stand Back.. forget it.. the place went nuts. During Waddy's little angry guitar rifts, Stevie did the same head snaps that she did in the SNL performace from 83! She sort of did them last night, but tonight they were spot on..fierce. also bouned a lot during this song. A few extra twirls, and a leg kick with much more attitude tonight.

BATB, goregous..rushed the stage..me and about 40 others! Security sort of comprimised and let us stand right by VIP aisle..not far from where I was originally..but oh well.. I was talking w/a guard about Detroit, and he said they actually were briefed on "the incident" and that unfortunately I wouldn't be let down..they were just doing their job, right? :(

At the end of BATB, Stevie said something more than "Thank you" ..and seemed choked up..

Eof17 fabulous..incredible growl. Stevie seemed to take an extra long time shaking hands.

Leather and Lace, a great pleasure to see this duet. Don took her lace tonight- Thanked us profusely..said she'd never forget us..(it's nice to hear, even if..)

So you wanna be... Really fun..total attitude/energy. Stevie made EVERYBODY come out for the final bow(s) she was laughing and made them bow at least twice. Then waved, and waved some more. So...what an evening.

It's like a little of the crazy old Stevie, but with perfect voice, and clarity on stage.
