5 BEING THE BEST

I have followed Stevie's life and career as closely as she would allow since her debut on *Buckingham/Nicks*. I have seen her perform countless times both solo and with Fleetwood Mac.

The concert in Charlotte on July 9, 2005 seemed more of a casual atmosphere than is Stevie's usual style~ however, it also seemed more intimate.

She did NOT disappoint us! She looks terrific, her voice is strong, steady, and still as haunting as ever. Indeed, her very presence is akin to being in the presence of Royalty.

What struck me the most however, was what I could "read" from her face and body language. There is a strong sense of resolve, wisdom and self understanding of who, what, and why she is. Her rendition of *Landslide* accompanied by past video clips brought me to tears as she sang "And I'm getting older too."

Yes Stevie, many of your Fans are getting older too~ Im 53. Beyond the Wisdom; I, as I'm sure many of your older fans can see a tiredness. I know you "Push it to the Limit"; but Stevie, please take care of yourself. We want you around for a VERY long time to come!

Thank you for a great concert.........Thank you for YOU!

Much Love
Many Blessings

This show was amazing! The Queen of Rock and Roll rocked the Queen City.

This was my 6th time seeing Stevie solo and I have seen Fleetwood Mac 3 times. This show was by far the best. I've almost forgotten how much better Stevie is with out the Mac. Rock and Roll was a great song, she put so much energy in to it. I am glad she replaced I Need to Know with it.

I can't wait to see Stevie next tour, she keeps getting better with age.

All I can say is... WOW! Two days later I'm still searching for the words to describe my concert experience. Of all the times I've seen Stevie with or without the Mac, this was my favorite. I think the reason why is I don't think I've ever seen Stevie so happy and comfortable in her own skin. She was smiling, silly, and playful all evening.

Her outfits were over the top, flamboyant, and outrageous... and I loved them all! LOL! She was just absolutely gorgeous and radiant. Her voice was in fine form too. While she was somewhat reserved during her first few songs, she really loosened up as the set went along.

I had a lot of reservations about the setlist going into the concert to be honest though. How could she leave out songs like Gypsy, Silver Springs, and Sara in favor of covering other artists tunes? But after the concert I'm actually really glad she shook things up a bit... made for a totally unique concert experience! It was awesome to see her rock out on "Rock And Roll" and "Circle Dance" was beautiful. I was so glad to see songs from "Trouble In Shangri-La" in the set too. She did a really stepped up version of "Sorcerer" which rocked... and I could never imagine that song rocking lol. She put more and more oomph into the song as it went too... you could tell she was trying to impress the audience with her most recent work. And I adore "Fall From Grace"... not a fav album track of mine, but a stellar concert piece. I hope she always plays that one.

Another one of my biggest surprises of the evening was "Beauty and the Beast." I've always loathed that song, and thought it was horribly cheesy and over the top. In concert it was over the top... but I enjoyed it! Perhaps it was her outfit that reminded me of the evil queen from Sleeping Beauty that won me over LOL.

All things totalled, Stevie accomplished her purpose for the evening. I've just gone through the roughest month of my life, but Stevie's music took me away from all of that for a couple of hours and really put some wind back in my sails. And that's why I'm such a fan of hers and will continue to support her... no matter how bad things get, if I put on some Stevie I feel just a little bit better. Rock on Gold Dust Woman!!! :-)

This was my first Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac concert ever, so I didn't really know what to expect.

I got there early enough to hear the sound check and Stevie sounded very tired, which made myself and some others worried. We were shocked in a very good way. Vanessa Carlton was absolutely wonderful as an opening act, talking to us and really interacting. As soon as she finished, it was a dead silence as everyone waited for Stevie.

I had 6th row center seats, so I was right there in the action. I must add that being a younger fan (15) everyone was so nice to me, people were holding me up to take pictures and asking me about my loyalty to Stevie, they were great.

So, Bootylicious starts playing and everybody starts screaming .. a few minutes later we see Stevie's band walking onstage with their instruments all ready and everybody's freaking out !! Then, all of a sudden the beginning of Enchanted starts to play and I lose it .. then we see Stevie !!! She was gorgeous .. slim and beautiful. It seems she has lost all of her weight and more !! :) She sang Enchanted which followed into a cool remix of Dreams. The following songs came in this order: outside the rain, stop dragging my heart around, rhiannon, sorcerer, stand back, landslide, gold dust woman, beauty and the beast, a drum solo, fall from grace, circle dance ( a Bonnie Raitt cover),has anyone ever written anything for you , and rock and roll (Led Zeppelin cover).

Stevie interacted with us ( the audience) before and after every song .. dedicating landslide and has anyone ever written anything for you, to the fans. She changed outfits about 5 or 6 times and I got some great pictures. One time, seeing me stand on my chair whike she was talking, she looked right at me and smiled and I took the picture and smiled back. She then shook hands but, I couldn't get up there because security was pushing us back .. but that just leaves me something to accomplish at my next concert.

Stevie was great is all her rcok n roll glory, loving us fans and playing her brilliant, beautiful music ! She is still the Queen of Rock and Roll and she always will be !

I saw Fleetwood Mac for the first time last summer in Raleigh, NC for the Say You Will show, and they blew me away. Coming to this show in Charlotte for my first Stevie solo concert, I had very high expectations. She didn't let me down!!

Enchanted - As soon as I saw her walk out with the smile on her face I knew I was in for something special. I wasn't wrong. She sounded b-e-a-utiful! The new drummer, Jimmy Paxson, is really good! And I was so happy to see Taku back!!

Stop Draggin' My Heart Around - This song never fails to make me love it, even better live!! Waddy looked and sounded good!

Outside The Rain/Dreams - Double-combo, yet never fails to make me sing along.

Rhiannon - Daryl Smith is really good, and this intro to Rhiannon was excellent! Stevie, of course, well, you already know :-)

Sorcerer - Her little dancing was cute! This song seemed out of place to me, though...? I still enjoyed it though!!

Stand Back - My little 17 year old butt was up dancing around the lawn to this! AND I LOVED THE STEVIE KICK!!! WOOO!!!

Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You - Beautiful!! It was possibly the best slow song of the evening. Even made me tear up. I love hearing this love and look forward to hearing it live again hopefully very, very soon!! I also loved the background that made it seem as if you were actually there looking at the night sky. Very nice!

Gold Dust Woman - What can I say? Pure awesome-ness.

Circle Dance - This was brilliant. Absolutely aced it! She should definately bring this back for the next tour after Gold Dust ends!

Fall From Grace - Right from the opening part that grows louder, I was already jammin' along with all the now drunken lawn people.

Landslide - Beautiful hearing the backup harmonies with Stevie! It was a nice change!

Edge Of Seventeen - I loved the percussion jam! As I myself am a drummer, this was THE highlight of the night. Waddy still rocks! And Stevie IS the Queen of Rock no matter what anyone says!

Rock And Roll - Best encore ever!! And by the way, Stevie's hat was awesome! Hahaha. She should definately keep doing this song too! She makes it her own when she sings it, and it's INCREDIBLE!! Also, I loved seeing Vanessa Carlson come back out to sing with her with the back-up girls. JAM, JAM, JAM!!

Beauty And The Beast - Absolutely breath-taking and stunning! Stevie was gorgeous. Loved the footage in the back too!

Best concert this year as far as my tastes go. Any fan who has not seen this Stevie tour yet should go purchase tickets for the nearest venue near you. It is worth every penny, even the three hours drive to and fro! Stevie hunny, KEEP ROCKIN!!
