5 BEING THE BEST
Rated "5" by Brooke aka "Brooke Garber"
This was only my second time seeing Stevie solo, the first being the Trouble in Shangri La tour, but having seen her four times over the past two years with FM, I felt like I was a veteran.
Vanessa Carlton opened for Stevie and she had the crowd going, it was good. I'm not much of a fan but she's got an amazing voice.
I went into this show completely un spoiled on the set list, which was great! I was surprised to hear they still were playing "Bootylicious" as the warm up song, I thought they only did that in 2001 because that was the year it came out. I had a great seat this time, 5 rows from the stage, smack dead center, did what I normally do, wait for the late releases and once again, it paid off.
I was thrilled to hear a lot of these songs live for the first time in four years, it brought back memories from the 2001 tour.
I will admit it's tough for me to listen to the guitar solos without Lindsey up there, but they did a great job.
Enchanted - Beautiful, great way to get the crowd into the show and it came off great. I hadn't heard this song live in so long.
Stop Draggin My Heart Around - Always have loved this song and I loved how it came off live
Outside the Rain - This one I knew was on the set list and I was so excited to hear live, it kicked ass!!
Dreams - Always love this one live.
Rhiannon - She tore this one up, the crowd was going nuts.
Sorcerer - I remember loving this during the TISL tour and I loved it just as much this time.
Stand Back - Okay so it wasn't until the intro to this one that I saw Taku and I was SO FREAKING HAPPY to see him, I think people around me thought I was crazy, I was yelling "I LOVE YOU TAKU!!!". It brought back FM tour memories. And God strike me dead if I EVER get tired of this song live, I live for it. I've heard it live 6 times and I still get just as pumped as I did the first time. I LOVED the lighting for this one, completely blowing up the stage and the crowd in front.
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You - She talked about visiting Walter Reed on Friday and visiting the soldiers back from Iraq and how that changed her, she dedicated this song to them. This one always brings tears to my eyes.
Gold Dust Woman - She really got the crowd going with this one, loved her gold shawl.
Circle Dance (Bonnie Raitt Cover) - I've never heard this one, and I loved how Stevie did it, beautiful.
Fall From Grace - This one live is amazing, just amazing.
Landslide - She called this the "cat" song because it "has 9 lives" I love it, but it's really really difficult for me to enjoy it without Lindsey. I loved the video footage of her from her life in the background.
Edge of Seventeen - Wish my mom could have been with me, that's our song. The "white winged dove" graphic on the video screen was pretty too.
Rock And Roll (Led Zeppelin Cover)- Yeah! I loved this!
Beauty and the Beast - Another song that gets me emotional, the video in the back was beautiful too and I was sobbing like a baby, I love it.
An awesome show, I was so happy to see her again, she's still got it. I was going through some serious FM withdrawal and it helped take the sting off. Thanks Stevie!

I saw my first Stevie Nick concert almost 25 years ago - - and I've seen Stevie more times than I can count off the top of my head - - and nothing could possibly compare to the extraordinary performance I was part of last night. It was by far, the best concert I have ever seen.
It was magical....it was emotional....it was an experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Thank you Stevie...yes, you have given that to me...

There are many things I could say about this concert. I could go on about the songs, how beautiful Stevie still looks after all these years, or how the her choice of musicians and vocalists complement her perfectly.
Instead, I'll just say that I closed my eyes during Rhiannon and Nightbird, and I was transported back 30 years to my mid-twenties again. THANK YOU Stevie, it's not often I get to feel that young and carefree again.
