5 BEING THE BEST

Well, my husband has been a Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fan for years. Their (FM's) 2004 poster is framed and over our fireplace now, if that tells you anything....I'm just learning all about them.

He and I have been married for two years now and we have seen Stevie Nicks twice, as well as Fleetwood Mac. I have to say the most recent of each concert have been the best. Maybe its just me, but Stevie seems more at peace now than before, more content, relaxed. It's amazing how she can rock with so much class and poise! She has given so much of herself to her music, and her fans, and I am so glad that she has arrived to this place in her life.

Since I am relatively new to FM/SN music, I particularly enjoyed the video of her life in the background. It lent a personal touch to the show.

It was nice to see the various age groups represented in the audience. I'm 38 and my husband is 49. I knew of Vanessa Carlton's music, but it was the first time he had seen/heard her. He was impressed as well. We stood, held hands and rocked out up in the suite seats all night long. ( My deepest apologies to those behind us, but it IS a rock concert!) I hope to get him front row tickets before FM/SN retires for good. Wish me luck!

It was a fantastic show. I was very happy with the Nokia Theater. I had never been there.

Our seats were great and the acoustics were wonderful. I was able to meet up with my great friend Cay and her boyfriend. Stevie looked and sounded great. The Rhiannon intro was unbelievable ~ truly haunting.

The band was tight and the looked to be having a great time. Landslide was beautiful. I loved the images behind her as she was singing. I was able to go up to the stage before Edge and when she came thru I was able to tell her thank you and she touched my hand.

A beautiful evening in Dallas with Stevie!!

I took my 16 year old daughter and we BOTH loved every minute of it. It is not that often that an artist can bridge generation gaps, but Stevie has done that and is a legend.

I especially loved her gracious gesture of shaking hands with the fans during the seemingly endless (in a GOOD way!) Edge of Seventeen! She looked beautiful. Landslide was my personal favorite. She was very cute when she called Waddy W. the "man of her dreams!" Then she seemed a little embarrassed that she had said that and stressed "Musical Director!"

It was an awesome show and I appreciate that Stevie is an artist that I can take my daughter to see and we can both get equal enjoyment out of it!! Thanks Stevie!

My first solo Stevie show was awesome!

I hope I got some great pics to share. I bought Stevie some flowers today and got to give them to her! See Edge review part.

Enchanted - I'm sorry, but this song is not a fave of mine, but she sounded great on it.

SDMHA - Waddy Watchel! It was so cool to see him in the flesh for the first time ever! Awesome!!

OTR/Dreams - I like OTR a lot and she sounded terrific. Dreams is....Dreams. LOL

Rhiannon - Fantastic, lots of hand gestures...dang, I need to look at my photos to remember stuff.

Sorcerer - AWESOME!! I was so stoked to be able to hear this live, it's one of my fave Stevie songs.

Circle Dance - What a gorgeous song and she sounded fantastic. I hope someone bootlegged this show...but Dallas shows seem to hardly ever get taped.

GDW - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! My fave FM song she does live these days. AWESOME...and it is so weird to hear it without FM. The pose with Waddy at the end is way cool.

Stand Back - For some reason, I feel that the energy of the song is better with FM (*ducks*), but it was still awesome. Taku is awesome!! I did miss Lindsey's guitarbation, I must say.

Landslide - Um...I think she dedicated this (or was it something else? Someone help!!) to the pilot from the FM tour? Am I at all right on that? Gah, my memory sucks and I just saw the show!! LOL

Edge of 17 - OMfrickinG!! I jumped over the seat and made my way to the stage. I had my flowers ready to go and my mom came and stood behind me with the camera. Edge...the wail....holy crap! It went on for 10 hours! LOL Fantastic. Then, the walk. She came to us and I reached my hand up, she grabbed it and I said "Thank you, Stevie!" and handed her the flowers....she took the flowers and then looked RIGHT INTO MY EYES and said "Thank you!" That was way rad!

Rock and Roll - Love the hat with the feathers, love the pants, love the shoes. She rocked and rolled....even though I'm not a Zep fan, that song kicks and she did a great job.

BATB - Magnificent. I don't care for this song on TWH, but dang, it's spectacular live....and she looked stunning with her hair swept up.

The hand gestures were nuts! She likes to punch now. LOL Also, the hands on head thing and the arm in front of face (a'la the SYW tour) thing. I don't recall a Stand Back kick...I think that era is over. Although, didn't she do one not long ago?

Some gal threw a purple boa on stage and Stevie picked it up and put it on her mic stand. It's in some of my pictures. Also, some dude walked up to the stage during one of the early songs and threw a bouquet of flowers, someone from the crew took them backstage. I gave her some orange-ish/red-ish lillies. I should have taken a picture of them, but I didn't. Sorry! I also put a lil note in the flowers for Stevie.

ETA: Woops, I forgot about HAEWAFY...didn't she dedicate this to us? I think so. Poets...priests of nothing....legends....very cool.

FFG!!! This song kicks all KINDS of a$$!! It's also one of my faves and I'm glad she did this one!!

Here is the link to my photos. They aren't great...I need a new camera...mine bites, plus, I can't take good photos.
