AHI was AMAZING! I had an outstanding time! To start off I was way psyched because I barely got my tickets at 1 pm on the day of the show. I managed to get 9th row center stage. I had a little buyers remorse until I got to Dodge Theater. My husband and I went looking for our seats and I was sooooo excited when I saw how close we were. I have always had crappy seats so this was quite a treat.

I wasn't expecting to really get into Vanessa Carlton, but I really enjoyed her show. I thought it was cool to just see a woman singing at the piano for once....just pure music. I really liked her. When she started playing her one really well known song (is it A Thousand Miles??) and she said, "Yeah, I'm that girl." hehe. Anyway, I thought she was great.

After that I assumed that Don Henley would come out and do a complete set, a la the Don/Stevie shows a while back. But on came Bootylicious and the Dreams remix. I wasn't really disappointed that he didn't do a whole set because I'm not a big fan, in fact I was excited at that point because I knew that Stevie was going to be about 20 feet from me.

Then she came out....no intro needed of course. She looked amazing and when she started belting out Enchanted she sounded amazing too.

Don came out for Stop Draggin My Heart Around. Stevie introduced him before he came out, saying that he was a surprise that had dropped out of space. The crowd went crazy. He sounded a little off at first, but it was better by the end of the song....still not great. After SDMHA Don left the stage and Stevie promised that he would be back.

Then Outside the Rain and Dreams. What can I say....I was stunned. No more buyers remorse for me!! After Dreams it seemed like Stevie almost forgot to go change into her "Rhiannon top." and kind of giggled and ran off stage. Rhiannon was soooo awesome! The end reminding me of old bootlegs. Less shouty of course, but still great.

I always enjoy the drum intro to Stand Back and this night was the best ever. Jimmy and Taku rock! Stevie was doing some serious twirling and of course the kick! I was going crazy, dancing and jumping around.

Then Don came back out and sang Gold Dust Woman. He sounded lots better on this one, but I would have rather heard Stevie sing it. It's one of my favorite songs!

Circle Dance was beautiful. To be honest I've never heard that song. I loved it. It was a great song for Stevie and Don to sing together. At the end of the song Stevie and Don hugged and that turned into a slow dance that lasted quite a while. Very sweet. Don finished up with Leather and Lace.

Then came the first chords of Fall From Grace and I was back on my feet. To my surprise I was one of the very few that was. I guess that I've under estimated how many people have TISL.

Stevie dedicated Landslide to her father, of course. But said that he was unable to be there because he had broken his leg. She said that she had talked to John McVie, who joked and said to tell Jesse to break a leg .

I wasn't able to sneak my way to the stage during Edge of Seventeen because they had placed extra security in front of the first 4 rows, as those were the $1000 donation seats and this woman kept trying to get up there during the whole show. I'm sure I could have been up there other wise. I think it's so cool that Stevie shakes the fans hands like that. I noticed that she tries really hard to take every hand that reaches for her.

Rock and Roll. What can I say. That alone was worth the price of the tickets. Vanessa Carlton sang back up. She seemed to be as in awe of Stevie as the fans. She clapped when the song was over.

Beauty and the Beast was stunning. The crowd was silent. Personally, I liked the movie footage in the background. I thought it fit well.

Finally, Don came back out for So You Want to be a Rock n Roll Star. Great way to end the show. It left every one excited and pumped.

All in all, what a great show. I had a blast. It's a completely different experience to have good seats. Stevie was so energetic and seemed to be have a great time. and I loved the outfits. No more granny dress!

A couple of memorable moments: Stevie forgot to introduce Waddy during band intros. I thought she was saving him for last when she first skipped over him but then she said that was it and looked ready to go into the next song. Waddy started strumming his guitar and got her attention. She seemed really embarrassed and gave him a great introduction.

Also, Lori sang back up on a few songs. I think it was Landslide, EO17, and SYWTBARRS.

The concert was unforgettable. I have been waiting for this experience since I was a little girl and it was no less than I dreamed it would be.
