FANS ARE NOW RATING THE SHOWS AS WELL 1-5 5 BEING THE BEST
I know about her problem in the late '80's with her prescibed medication that she said made her gain weight and caused many other problems. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows if she has some kind of problem. I think she even looks very different just from her pictures in the new album. Does anyone know??
The show was awesome. I can't believe the person who wrote the first Cleveland review said that Mick lost his dignity during his drum solo?? What! He gained his dignity! That was one of the best things I had ever seen. Even Ringo would never have done anything like that. I'm a drummer and as a musician Mick Fleetwood is by far one of the best drummer's ever. He still has mad energy and charisma. He rocks! Poor John McVie...no interaction at all. He's chillin' though.
Lindsey is the bomb! He is a guitar god up there with Page and Clapton but so overlooked! Big Love and Never Going Back Again were highlights.
Stevie is Stevie! Always awesome! She sounded good. I wish that she would have played Destiny Rules and Running Through The Garden as she did in previous shows cause those are two of my favorites.
But they did Second Hand News and Beautiful Child was like something I've never seen. Very enchanting....
All in all, Fleetwood Mac is back and well!! No other band like them! I'm only 21 years old so I hope I get the opportunity to see them again soon!
Okay.. I enjoyed the concert without a doubt. Great song selection and a good balance between the old and the new.
However I felt that aside from all the good song selection the energy just wasn't there.
I have never seen Fleetwood Mac in concert but I've been told of how I should expect the ever-wispy and energetic Stevie Nicks to dance around and twirl in circles during Gold Dust Woman...and how she would bellow out on Rhiannon... However she wasn't on it tonight.
She really didn't have the energy levels I had hoped for ... and the one or two times she did her stage-twirling with her flowing sleeves wrapping around her the crowd went wild.
Also vocally she really didn't live up to her potential tonight. She has such a strong voice but it really didn't seem like she was pulling it from within when she was singing. Don't get me wrong, she still sounds amazing .. she just didn't sound as strong as she has in the past.
Maybe Stevie wasn't as energetic as I had hoped, but Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey were awesome. Lindsey was jumping all over the stage.. rocking out on his guitar...just a tireless ball of energy on the stage.
And as for Mick in the encore he came out from behind the drumset and just brought the funk out front and rocked the crowd.. Engaging them both musically with his beats on the bongo but also by yelling to everyone "Are you with me!?" He was fabulous.
I also feel the need to say that I was disappointed that Christie McVie wasn't on this tour. A lot of her lead vocal songs with Fleetwood Mac are my favorites and I was disappointed to not hear "Lies" "Everywhere" and "Say You Love Me".
On some positive notes.... "Landslide" was by far one of the highlights of the night... I'm sorry but the Dixie Chicks have NOTHING on Stevie!
Also the double encore.. and the upbeat "Don't Stop" were also the highlights.. I really enjoyed "Gold Dust Woman.." and the stage set up was simple, classy, but added that nice extra element to the show.
So that's about all I can say.. overall Fleetwood Mac rocked me out tonight.... I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did!
Peace
