5 BEING THE BEST
Rated "5" by Scott
My name is Scott and I am 16 years old and a huge Stevie/Fleetwood Mac fan. The show was amazing.
I have seen Guns N' Roses, The Ozzfest, Bruce Springsteen, and Stevie's last two solo tours but this was better then all of them except for maybe Enchanted. The show was great from beginning to end. Stevie was excellent of course but she did not steal the show because all of them were great. I loved Mick's solos. Lindsey rocked on the songs like Come and Go Your Own Way. Stevie brought down the house with Stand Back and proved once more she is the undisputed Queen of Rock and Roll. I was not all that impressed with Beautiful Child but every other songs she sang were great. John was his usual self. He hid in the background and added his signature bass. I have to say I did not miss Christen McVie, Brett Tuggle (Stevie's solo Keyboardist) filled in great for her. He added a lot to Don't Stop. They proved that they are not just a bunch of oldies but still rock legends. Thank you Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac!!

I had the privilege to see my first Mac show in '97 when they came to Tampa and what a rockin' show it was. Sunday night proved just as entertaining-although the sound was lacking without Christine McVie's sweet sound. I missed her songs from the set.
Being a true Stevie fan, I like everyone else in the Forum, lost body-fluids when she sang Stand Back. She seemed a bit tired and definitely was not up for Lindsey's antics of the night. Stevie was completely witchy and dazzling during Gold Dust Woman- what a powerful picture she paints. Mick Fleetwood is ever the entertaining drummer and never ceases to amaze me with his talents-turning himself into a human drum-can't beat that. The acoustics in the Forum leave something to be desired-I suggest to all Tampa fans to try to get seats to the sides of the stage- you have better sound quality since you are catching the band's monitors and not the reverb in the rafters. It's an honor to see such a classic group of people perform and I look forward to many more years of them touring!

Overall excellent - Stevie was awesome, Fleetwood
stole the show with his drums, definitely go see them, you'll love it!

The MAC IS BACK!
Let's say the show was very raw and energetic,
what rock and roll is all about.
From Lindsey's guitar solos where he put his "ax" into
the audience for some lucky fan to get a lick on it,
his emotion where he was on his knees on the floor in
front of Stevie at one point, almost a cry of passion for her.
I could see the frustration he must been feeling that night,
especially when he kissed Stevie after a song and she looked away.
Mick was also very heavy into his drumming, during the first encore,
he rocked everybody with body drums (electronic).
Ok the set list was the same, but somehow it seemed new and RAW!
I had floor seats and could see very clearly from the 25th row,
the video screens helped with closeups. Second Hand News was
my favorite among the many great songs done Sunday night.
Stevie looked great and sexy in her black dress she wore,
I loved seeing true rock greats doing what they do best!
Also seeing Stevie do her famous TWIRL during Stand Back.
This is my first FM concert but, I'm hooked and hope they
continue to tour for years to come!
I love classic rock and these guys make classic rock unforgettable!

Loved the show.....the video screens
need to be placed somewhere else however because they were covered by part
of the overhead equipment so they were totally obscured...loved the energy.

Stevie seemed a little tired but the concert itself was incredible. It was sometimes hard to make out the words, but if you knew the songs, I guess it really didn't matter.

Having just seen the Eagles (5 by the way) about a month ago,
I would rate Fleetwood Mac a 4. The acoustics, particularly the bass
at the Forum at times, left something to be desired. The vocals however
were great, Stevie and Lindsey, while not at the top of their game, sounded
pretty awesome.
My favorite song they played was Second Hand News;
it took me back to 1975 when I was a freshman in college. I think
many in the audience missed the political statement that opened
"Peacekeeper". This concert was better than the last
Fleetwood Mac concert I saw in New Jersey back in
the early 80's - that says a lot! Who knows when we'll get to see the
likes of Stevie Nicks again....Christina and Britney can't even come close!

Fleetwood Mac put on a good show on Sunday.
They played the hits, and Lindsey displayed real star power. Stevie
looked tired...she reminded me of Janis Joplin with that extra weight.
The ticket price ($125) for downstairs seats was $50 too high
- no wonder only 12,000 (out of 19,000 capacity) seats were filled!
"Stand Back" "Go Your Own Way" and "World Turning" were the highlights at the end.

The show
was amazing, especially since I scored
front row on the day of the show. I had to sell my other tickets and sold em for
a lil below face (200 bucks). Anyway Linds was extremely friendly with our side,
and they were in terrific form. He kept looking at me and smiling and making
these weird faces. I made a sign for Stevie and one for Linds that said "Lindsey
Buckingham Guitar God, We Bow To Thee" when he saw he laughed pretty hard, he
had to back away from the mic. I then held up my say you will CD insert for him
to sign and he laughed, later he reached down and grabbed it to sign for me. He
leaned down twice to shake my hand and looked at me during What's the World
Coming To and kept pointing at me...I'm like...ok what did I do??? Then later on
he sat down on our part of the stage and everyone was reaching for him and he
grabbed me and pulled me over to play his guitar...OMG IF I ONLY KNEW HOW....so
I'm just strumming there, so now I can say I played with the Mac!!! haha!
Then I yelled, do you give lessons?? He laughed again. Stevie walked over our
way a few times, and she saw my sign that asked for a kiss (or an
autograph)...and she looked and smiled real hard and blew me a kiss, then I held
my album cover up for her to sign, and she said "I'm sorry sweetie I can't"....I
don't think she can bend over on the stage for security reasons, or cause it's
higher up...ohhhh well...now onto the set.
The show was amazing, they were in great vocal form again. Stevie was a lil
nervous with The Chain and Dreams. when Rhiannon came....WOW IS ALL I CAN
SAY....She got really into it this time, never seen her get so into it...she
kept pulling the mic stand back and forth when she was wailing and had several
times of bowing her head down from screaming. Gold Dust Woman was terrific, best
wail from her I've ever heard out of this song, even Lindsey made this face that
looked like "hey, that was good". Stand Back she really got into, and got a lil
crazy at times, which was nice to see, she made 2 low kicks at the end when she
does her OHHHHHHH (well). She held the long note extra long at this show, and
looked at Linds like she was impressed herself. All the songs were great, and
during Tusk, Linds went to go ram into John, and Stevie walked clear across to
the other side of the stage, and Linds looked around for her, and then he ran
over to her, got on his knees, and she looked soooo mad and said "DON'T,
DON'T"...it was funny to see, but she seemed ticked. Great show, don't know what
else to say.
This concert just proved what a disaster the music biz will be if the Mac ever
leave it.
