FANS ARE NOW RATING THE SHOWS AS WELL

1-5

5 BEING THE BEST

Used to be that Stevie Nicks's most worthy contribution to the band was her insanely amazing stage presence. not so anymore. She was barely moving at all in the show, and even when she did it was only during her songs. She can't really carry a tune anymore; she'd leave entire lines up to the backing vocalists. Lindsey, on the other hand, has only become better with age. His playing was *wild* and masterful, and he seemed completely at ease on the stage. His vocals have become more confident, and his songs are breaking through the stratosphere in terms of talent and insight. John and Mick are the same as always: laying down a hard rhythmic groove ready to rock the fans' night away!

There are no words to describe the Dallas concert for me. Lindsey is unreal. He's amazing, phenomenal, spectacular... superhuman. The crowd, like Brian said, sucked because they were too concerned with drinking and eating. I won't even get into that, because this review would HAVE to be censored.

When The Chain started, the crowd DID go nuts, it was awesome, people stood up and enjoyed it. Then, unfortunately, Dreams started in and they all sat down.

ISA was surreal! My fave song in the world and I saw it live for the first time ever....I needed a paramedic after the song ended, it literally took my breath away. Come was the same way (not to the extent of ISA, but close), he was a MADMAN on that axe!!

Stevie looked STUNNING in her new "duster" shawl. It's gold and gorgeous!! She also made an AWESOME GDW pose...she looked like a goddess.

SnL sounded AMAZING, strong vocals and crystal clear. Unfortunately, they were drowned out at times by the music and background gals.

Mick was AWESOME on the drums and he ROCKED OUT! John McVie...though like a "ghost in the fog" was AWESOME too!!

People, if you are not a Lindsey fan, go see a SYW show and you will be! BE THOU CONVERTED!

Here it is Saturday morning and I am still wound up from this show! The set list, sound, and performance were absolutely top notch in EVERY way. As usual, certain members of the crowd could have behaved better but hey - it's a concert! This is truly a show NOT to miss. Hopefully they will swing back through Stevie's home town for a show before the tour leaves the US.

Been waiting to see them for about 30 years now, and was NOT disappointed! awesome awesome awesome. And our seat mates were very cool..one couple from Houston, and one from Tennessee! Stevie Nicks has still got it going on and the crowd roared. I gave the show a 5 but it should be a 25! So great...I was very impressed.

I will never see anything better than Lindsey and Stevie facing each other on Say Goodbye and the way she stood behind him during Landslide. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen and I wept with joy. Stevie looked bored at the start of the show, but by the time she got to Gold Dust Woman, she sounded fantastic. She was shakin' it and wailing like back in the day. Also, she sounded outstanding on Beautiful Child. Lindsey rocked and Mick is the man, but I'm all about Stevie and I'd love to see them again.

The Dallas crowd sucked. They were way too concerned with getting beers. There was even a booze vendor yelling "Cold Beer!" over the songs. How insulting is that? I think some of the people there weren't real fans and I wish us super fans could have had their floor seats. Otherwise, the Mac was incredible and I think I'll see them again in Louisiana. Stevie rules forever!

Fleetwood Mac proved you're NEVER to old to know how to rock. From the opening song until the last the Mac was in fine form and having fun. It was great to see Lindsey tearing it up on the guitar and the roaring appreciation from crowd. Finally, he's being recognized for tthe incredible talent he has at his craft and it's got to feel great.

Stevie's voice was strong and when she whirled into her famous Rhiannon & Gold Dust Woman poses the crowd went wild. Also, I don't think I've ever seen a better or sweeter version of Landslide. Towards the end Stevie came up and "hid" behind Lindsey and put her hands on his shoulders as he played the last notes. Then, she came out to to sing the 2nd to last line and in the pause the crowd went totally mad and she & Lindsey did the cutest little high five. It was so sweet.

Later, Stevie and Lindsey were just having fun dancing and gooffing around during Tusk. It was great to see everyone up there having fun, playing well. But especially to see the positive interaction and friendship between Stevie & Lindsey after so many years.

It was my first Mac concert (I'm 19!)... and I must say it was QUITE enjoyable. Lindsey Buckingham is still amazing... he can play guitar like a MADMAN! It hurt not getting to hear any Christine McVie songs... BUT the concert ROCKED MY FACE OFF!

The positives:

The AAC is a very nice arena with great acoustics, I think OKC should have modeled the Ford Center after the AAC. The people of Dallas seemed very friendly & in awe that someone (Me!) drove 300 miles 1-way to see Fleetwood Mac.

The Mac seemed energetic for this performance (But not as energized as they were for OKC!) and tried valiantly to get the audience into the spirit of things, But... (See below)

The negatives:

#1-The Dallas concert crowd is just too damned spoiled!!! This was the most dead energy-wise crowd I have seen at a concert in 13 years (The last being for Queensryche in Tulsa, OK).

I had a decent seat in the Platinum Club area and watched time-after-time as the crowd disappeared during the new songs from "Say You Will" or not give up any energy during classics (ie-Rhiannon). I mean why pay hard earned cash to see a show and either disappear during it or just leave completely before it is even over?

If you Texans want to learn how to enjoy & appreciate a concert, let Fleetwood Mac skip Dallas for 22 years as they did OKC until this past Tuesday...Then I think you'll get the message!!!

#2-The sound, Even though it was clear acoustically was not loud enough! I could hear people talking all night in my aisle because the sound wasnt loud enough.

The show rocked, even w/o Christine McVie. The Mac hit all the highs and lows you could want and even did 2 encores which really was awesome. I hope I get the opportunity to see them again. Stevie and Lindsey were great together and of course Mick was as crazy as usual. All I have to say is "The Mac is Back!"

I have seen the Mac many times and as always they delivered. The negative was the American Airlines Center's noise bleed seats; the sound just was not there. But the Mac fan that I am, I made my way down to the real sound. Stevie sounds better than ever.I was disappointed that Christine was not there...didnt get to here my song bird. Hope there is a next time!

The show was awesome! I can't say much more than that. Lindsey is guitar god! Mick is drum god! Stevie is a mystical enchantress god! John is a bass god!

The AAC was packed! My girlfriend and I had floor seats on Lindsey's side near the center by the sound booth. Everyone was on their feet when they came out and opened with "The Chain." Most everyone on the floor section stood the entire concert! I've read many reviews where everyone sits down most of the time. Of course every time they played a song that was released after 1982 tons of people would leave to go to the bathroom and to go to concession. I think that is so rude! Just because you don't know the song doesn't mean it's not good! There were two ladies sitting to my right who I thought were going to go into a frenzy when Lindsey started "Come". Every gesture or movement he made during the song they kept shouting "Oh God! Lindsey! Oh God!" I couldn't help but crack up laughing--they were so comical.

I'm not going to go on and on into each song, but I do want to say that this was Lindsey's show. Stevie did so much better than on the TISL tour. She was more energetic and more in control of her voice. It was very strong. My girlfriend is not a big Mac fan (I had to pretty much convince her that this show would be worth $125), but she says her favorite part was "World Turning" with Mick's vest solo. I enjoyed it, too.

I would love to go see them in Lubbock. Any of you fellow Texans out there who missed this show--you have to go see the Lubbock show. It is worth every penny.

"And also remember: The Mac is back!"

The show was great. The crowd was not....I've never seen so many people concerned with getting up to get a beer or going to the restroom. I hope they release a DVD so I can see all the stuff I missed getting up to let people by.... Having said that the band was right on target. Stevie and Lindsey looked like they were having fun. I thought the sound was a little muddy but we where in the nose bleed section so it may have been better below. I missed Christine but from the beginning until the end they really rocked. Some of the young groups could learn a thing or two.

Well, what a wonderful evening, what a great, great show.

The first time I saw Fleetwood Mac live was almost 29 years ago in the fall of 1974, while Bob Welch was still fronting the band. The impact of that concert was such that by the time they rolled into the Dallas area again in may of 1975 with newbies Buckingham and Nicks, I had acquired every major Mac recording then available on vinyl, was in the process of collecting rarities, and had memorized their turbulent history.

I was a bit bummed when I heard that welch was no longer with the band, but decided to give the new guys a shot. I was not disappointed and I was not disappointed tonight. Are they older? yeah, so what. me too. supporting musicians? Yep and damn good ones. There were. people used to complain that Fleetwood Mac's live sound was too sparse - not anymore.

Can these folks still rock the house? Oh yes. Oh Yes! Stevie nicks sounds great as far. As far as I'm concerned, far better than she deserves to after all the abuse she has heaped on her body and vocal chords over the years. Those wild screaming renditions of Stevie were incredible - but there was a price to be paid. even so, she was powerful tonight...and beautiful. I think I enjoyed her more tonight than I ever have.

John McVie has always been as he is. In six performances I've been privileged to hear one actual bass solo from this man. - The "Chain" riff notwithstanding, I have have never really seen him move from right beside the drum riser. Still - he never falters ... If you've ever been in a gigging band, you recognize how great this guy is. The most words I'veve ever heard from his mouth at one time were back in '75. upon being called back for a third encore after a 2.5 hr show, he scratched his beard and bellowed "incredible...you all are too f_ _ _ ing much!" same to ya John. keep up the great work.

Same with Mick. he drums as hard now as he ever has. not a lot of flash, but lots of power and control. Several have written (particularly "official" reviews) that his vest solo was overdone and degraded the show somewhat. I think it was quite a bit toned down from say - the Tango in the Night tour video. I was glad to see the talking drum back. It wasn't there last time I saw him.Lindsey Buckingham. Wow, at another 1975 Mac show, I sat four rows from the stage directly in front of Lindsey. I've often said that was the only guitar lesson I've ever paid for. It significantly and forever changed how I think about guitar playing. From the example of Mr. B, I have learned to think outside the box as both a player and songwriter. What box?? ... There IS NO box.. damn!

Did I miss Christine? Yeah a little. more than on the cd. Her live presence was just pure class. I always had more of a thing for Chris than I did Stevie. Maybe it was that sultry Brit thing she had going. Aways wish the would have featured her more as a keyboard soloist. Nevertheless I agree with those sage ones who say that her absence gave the band a little more room to move creatively and resulted in a slightly edgier cd and live set. Both excellent.

The sound quality of the venue left a little to be desired at a couple of points. Lindsey's vocals seemed muddy and unintelligible early on, and the low end of his solos were just under my audible range. these were ultimately corrected.

Now I will add for the sake of authenticity that I have once been disappointed at a Fleetwood Mac show. at one show on the Rumours tour in 1977. I coudn't believe what went on. Lindsey just flat botched three major solos, hitting wrong notes, bad timing. The band barely played an hour, encore (single) included. The set only contained highlights of the Rumours album--nothing from the early days - not even "Oh Well" (which is my ONLY complaint about their recent tour. I don't think Oh Well is too much to ask for .... Station Man would be nice too ....) but I digress - there HAVE been disappointments with the Macsters

But not tonight.. no way.....far from it. Tonight's show rates with the best Ive seen them do. What it really all comes down to - and the most you can ask from any band - is that they put their heart and soul into their music and give their all. And they did just that tonight. My kids and my girlfriend - who usually just tolerates my Fleetwood Mac fixation, went with me and they were all about what a great show it was. It was beautiful. It was moving. I loved every minute.

The band put out a terrific effort, and blew our socks off. Stevie's vocals started solid, and she was in top form all night. A standout in the show was an inspired effort from Stevie on Beautiful Child. LB was out of this world.

I think the Dallas crowd did a fair job, but I'm certain there was a 3rd encore waiting if the audience would have worked a bit for it. They gave up after two. All in all, the band seemed to have a great time on stage. We sure had a great time in the audience. What a pleasure!
