5 BEING THE BEST

There are no words that can explain the concert. Fleetwood Mac is the BEST band ever! I loved them so much! Lindsey is amazing, I love him. Mick is so cool. Stevie is great and always will be. John just kinda stands there and does his thing but its way cool. I loved everything about the night. When they all walked on stage it was like I was in a different world. Nothing mattered except Fleetwood Mac. They are an incredible band. I'm just so happy that they came to play and that I got to go. It's one of those things you will remember forever. It was amazing that at their ages they could play for 2 and a half hours non stop. and Mick's big ol' drum solo. I loved Big Love, Lindsey is an amazing musician. then they like came back for 3 or so encores. it was wonderful. lighters, the crowd cheerin and clappin and just goin wild.
I can still picture the concert in my mind today and i hope those pictures never fade.

After reading the Idaho Statesman review I felt compelled to give my opinion about the concert.
The only thing I noticed that had me wondering how the show would turn out at first was Stevie looking almost apprehensive as she started singing. There wasnt "bored dont want to be here look" but an almost nervousness look. It vanished fast enough and she was on top of her game with the rest of the band.
At times I could hardly hear the band over the cheering fans. But that tells me it is a good concert and people are getting a show worth remembering. I still have a bit of soreness in my throat from yelling and cheering 5 days later. The whole show was a treat for me and my son.
From the opening song to the last encore it was awesome. Not sure what concert the review was about but with many of the songs being from the new album it was hardly a blast from the past show, even with all of the older favorites being played. The 2 1/2 hours seemed to pass much too fast and before I knew it the concert was over. But I left feeling every bit pleased and happy with the show. I waited for 15 years to go to a show and I am glad I did. Fleetwood Mac was worth every cent.
Maybe those writing "professional" articles should have to pay for their own tickets out of their own pockets. Then they might have a better view of a real fan and actually want to be at the show instead of somewhere else.

The show was awesome I had a great time, and they all sounded great. They were all very energetic and excited to be there. I'd say they put on an awesome show for Idaho, and why wouldn't they? They're professionals! I love you Fleetwood Mac! You kick ass!

Well, where do I begin. They sounded wonderful and amazing as usual. After going to Portland and Auburn the concerts are all starting to get meshed together for me.
I had 3rd row seats on Lindsey's side. It was amazing because there were about 5 seats in the front row and second rows, and about 3 seats in my row that were empty. Thought they would have done a better job of selling these. My luck though cause this just gave us a chance to move more towards the center. I didn't have as much interaction with Lindsey being in third row I saw him smiling, pointing at some people in the front row. During "Stand Back" he walked over to my side and I held up a "Lindsey Rulz" sign that he pointed at and laughed and I waved. I think he recognized me from Auburn.
Let me just say that security there was militant. I'll get to more of that later, but since there was no one in the first two rows, my friend and I moved up to second row. A security lady was like "go back to your seats rrr" I said, "why nobody is even in these seats" and she still said go back. So I looked at this other security guard, who was a major ass the entire night and said, "that's lame" and he said "I don't care, go ahead up front." Yay! So my friend and I went right to the stage.
So at this point it was Mick's drum solo and Lindsey went to sit on the side of the stage again. He started wiping his face with a towel. As soon as he looked over at me, I started pointing at the towel and motioning for him to give it to me. He smiled and threw it at me! I caught it perfectly, and it was all sweaty. hehe. I mouthed "thank you so much" and he smiled. He wasn't near as interactive with the crowd during this time as he was at the Auburn concert. He pretty much sat there and watched Mick. If you get a chance to watch him at this point, do. He makes all sorts of facial expressions as he is watching Mick. It's pretty cool and entertaining.
So after "Don't Stop" Lindsey comes right over by me and I hold up a pen and my "Lindsey Rulz" sign. He came right over and signed it for me and some other people held some things up for him to sign which he did. Then he set my pen down on a speaker and some creep snatched it. So I didn't get my pen back that Lindsey used. darn. But I did get his autograph which was awesome.
After "Goodbye Baby" I held up my "John Rulz" sign. Stevie looked over and I saw her say to Lindsey, I think, "There's John's fan again." (or i.e. there is psycho girl again lol) John of course didn't see it until he came over to my side. He looked at it and was surprised. He pointed and laughed and acted like he was taking a picture of it. He tapped Mick and pointed and Mick was pointing and smiling at me. I just jumped up and down and waved. Stevie came over but didn't shake any hands. We just yelled and said we loved her etc. Then they were gone like that. Another great night for me!!
Some high points I noticed from this concert....
Stevie did not look as tired as the Auburn show. It must have been because Portland and Auburn were right after each other. At least for this concert she had a nice rest. She sounded great and was all smiles as usual. I saw her smile and look at the crowd more than the other two shows.
Never Going Back Again was amazing. I think the best of the 3 I've been to. Lindsey really worked it on the "you don't know what it means to wiinnnnnnnn, so come round see me againnnnnnnnnnn." The crowd loved it and screamed their heads off.
Eyes of the World, really you need to see this one live to appreciate it. It has sooo much energy and Lindsey does an awesome job.
Beautiful Child was amazing. This is so beautiful live! As was Silver Springs. Stevie really belts it out on this one. Sounded amazing on all three nights.
Come and I'm So Afraid were great as usual. The crowd loved it and everyone started cheering and standing up.
When Stevie went behind Lindsey during Landslide and put her hands on his shoulders the crowd went nuts. Everyone just started screaming. It was the loudest I've heard from all the shows I've been to. I think Stevie was kind of surprised as she had to wait a little longer to start singing again.
Say Goodbye, one of my faves. Its so cool because Stevie does this little low "ooohhh" while Lindsey is singing. I didn't even know it was her until I saw her lips moving, I thought it was some instrument or something. She really does harmonize well.
Don't Stop and World Turning, Stevie does a great job covering Christine's parts. I really don't miss Christine's voice too much on these.
"Goodbye Baby, another fave. Lindsey and Stevie sound amazing on this one.
I had a camera and took a few pictures. Then when I got up to the stage I pulled it out and a security guard tapped me and told me "no." Then five minutes later he tapped me again and told me I could take pictures if I didn't use a flash, which I hadn't been using all night. So hopefully I'll get some good pictures that I can post.
Well, I've been to 3 concerts in 5 days and I'm worn out!! I don't know how they do it. I had a great time. My last concert is at Salt Lake City on Saturday. Hopefully it will be as great as the others!

The fifth time I've seen the band since 1972 (yes, prior to the Buckingham-Nicks era) and they've been better every time. Like cognac.
3 things kept the concert from being perfect. First was the feeling that Stevie didn't seem to want to be in Idaho--of all places--at first. However she warmed to the audience eventually and was in full "give mode" by the end of the show.
Second was the seating Nazi who made sure nobody stepped out of the chair line into the aisles while dancing. If you let one person enjoy himself you have to let everyone, and then where will you be?
Third was the lack of Christine's voice in "Don't Stop".
Lindsey on the other hand was out to give Idahoans their money's worth from the first chord. I tried as hard as Icould to keep up by jumping up and down and screaming and waving my arms overhead with the peace sign. But he is in much better shape than I.
His guitar prowess has reached shredder-god status. Big Love was incredible, as were all of his electric solos. Van-Halen can eat his heart out. I'd match Lindsey against Michael Angelo.
Fleetwood poured his heart all over the stage too. Does anyone know the connection between the Muppet's Animal and Mick Fleetwood?
Overall, it was the best performance I've seen since since Pink Floyd did The Wall.

The concert was fantastic. The group was just in peak form. Lindsey is a giant talent. What a performer!!! And Stevie was also in top form. The chemistry between them was just great to watch.
And they are having a great time performing (all of them) and the audience loved it all. The people on the floor stood most of the night. And the sides by the stage got standing much of the night too.
We got all the encores. And it ended with the Goodbye song from Stevie.
Sound was quite good for a large arena.
It was over 100 degrees outside but people weren't even bothered and were pumped for the concert.
I could not believe they played without any breaks and sounded fantastic.
High points were Landslide with Stevie and Lindsey. Very emotional and moving. The most touching of the night. But there were many. Especially the many times the two made eye contact or touched each others hands.
All of Lindseys big solo's just blew the roof off and the crowd went wild.
Besides the hugely exciting well known hits like Go Your Own Way. Some of the other high points were Stevie singing Stand Back. Great intro for it and totally surprised the crowd. And Lindsey's Second Hand News and Big Love. Were all just amazing.
The entire night was a high point IMO. I missed Christine and her songs and would love for her to have been there. But it's a whole different vibe this time out and very cool to see the interplay between Lindsey and Stevie.
The big screens had Stevie on one and Lindsey on the other most of the night. So you could see the interplay anywhere in the building.
No tour books yet but lots of t-shirts.
They said many thank you's to the crowd throughout the night and obviously really appreciate the fans.
Mick's drum solo on World Turning was very cool as well.
Just a fantastic concert and tour and would see them again in a moment. I hope this great tour is released on a DVD. It's too great to not be released for fans to buy.
I'm a big Lindsey fan so it was just great to see him play guitar and sing and just interact with the band. Tusk was another highlight. What a great night :)
So there you go a report from Boise, Cheers, Mark

It was a great show... I was only 6 to 7 feet away from Stevie Nicks. She looked so Beautiful... I was wearing a 1979-1980 Tusk Concert Tour Shirt and she acknowledged to the audience that she could see that I've been a long time fan. Two Thumbs Up.

The show was absolutely fantastic. I'll never forget it!! The crowd went wild before, during and after every set and the band ate up like they were starving for it. I was amazed by the talent of them all in person. We all know that their music is great but you can't just say that when they're live...it's beyond words...the band and Stevie should get a gold medal in the EXTREME JAM category! Wonderful!!!!
