5 BEING THE BEST

I thought the show was mesmerizing. Stevie Nicks seemed...reflective...her performance of "Beautiful Child" was chilling and passionate, and her voice was strong and sure. She seemed very real. Lindsey Buckingham was thrilling. Watching his performance made me want to acquaint myself with lesser known tracks from the band. I have embarked on that journey. St. Louis fans are pretty much hillbillies from hell, but the band's entertaining performance as a whole took me away from it all. I wish I could thank Fleetwood Mac for a captivating performance. Perhaps I have.

Seeing Fleetwood Mac live was a dream come true! To say that their performance was "great" is an understatement! The concert started with an enthusiastic roar and the energy continued throughout the show.
Lindsey and Stevie's voices were awesome and sounded better than The Dance! In fact, out of every live Fleetwood Mac CD or concert that I have heard, thier voices were not nearly as strong as the St. Louis show. Stevie sounded like she did 20 years ago. Highlights include a really awesome version of Never Going Back Again (had bass and drums backing Lindsey's guitar), and a mellower version of What's The World Coming Too! Stevie's 'Gold Dust Woman' and 'Stand Back' were really energetic and she appeared to having a lot of fun the entire show. Stevie's songs were pretty much standards but her version of 'Landslide' got a laugh when she sang "I'm getting older too!" The crowd liked that!
Lindsey stood out throughout the whole show... chasing Stevie around, playing 5 min. guitar solos on 'I'm So Afraid' and 'Come,' throwing his guitar on the floor during 'Tusk' and even letting people in the front row strum his guitar while he played the chords! Many people went to the bathroom and sat down during 'Come' which was a mistake and really stupid. Lindsey started slow and went into one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard and forced people away from the bathroom.
Being two of the youngest members of the crowd(22 years old), my girlfriend and I were the only two that brought a sign. We had floor seats and proceeded to hold our sign up during certain songs and key moments! It was really exciting because we rushed to the front of the stage after the last song and showed Lindsey our message to him! He noticed, smiled, pointed at us, and laughed! It was a really awesome way to end the night and making contact with Lindsey Buckingham was totally cool! Simply put, one of the best!!

If anything Fleetwood Mac has gotten better with age.
The band played with the energy of earlier years and sounded fantastic as there seasoning came to the forefront. Mick is easily the best drummer I have ever seen or heard. Lindsay's guitar and John's bass playing are hard to beat no matter what type of music you listen to. Stevie has always been my favorite female rock singer and her performance was as good or better at this show than any I've been to or seen on tape. Way to go Fleetwood Mac. The show was well worth the money. My only complaint is I would have liked it to have been 2 hours longer.

The music was great the band was great but you couldn't understand the words when they sang anything.

The show was absolutely amazing! Lindsey seemed a little more into crowd interaction, but Stevie still seemed to be having a great time.
The Chain- my favorite song! at the beginning all you see is a blue light shining from Mick's drums and you can see all four of their shadows crowded around Mick as he pounds on his drums.
Dreams-great as usual
Eyes of the World- different version than what is on Mirage. Stevie would bug her eyes out when she screamed the 'eyes' part!
Peacekeeper-great
Second Hand News- Stevie was really into the 'bow bow' part and she would shake her things that were hanging off her microphone.
Say You Will- stevie had some cool moves to go with the words
Never Going Back Again- great! Lindsey added a 'been down 3 times' which was funny. Stevie sang along.
Rhiannon-classic
Come- lindsey rocked with his solo
Gypsy- great song, cool to see clips of the video on the background set. I think Stevie messed up the words a little on this one.
Big Love- the backdrop that came down for this was really neat
Landslide- everyone sang with Stevie
Say Goodbye- my favorite song from say you will. they played this a little too slow though.
What's The World Coming To- they also played this slightly slower than on the cd I thought
Beautiful Child- stevie did a great job on this, was glad to hear a song that hasn't been performed live before this tour.
Gold Dust Woman- amazing! at the end when stevie sang 'running in the shadow' she acted like she was running in place and of course she had her gold shawl on. the background video for this was neat - sparkling gold, almost looked like an ocean at sunset.
I'm So Afraid- sounded great live, great solo
Silver Springs-another one of my all time favorites
Tusk- Lindsey's guitar chord got unplugged at the end when he was following Stevie around stage, then he started swinging it at her, it was very funny!
Stand Back- energizing! Stevie started singing the wrong words towards the end then caught herself. Lindsey made a face like 'what is she doing'. then when Stevie sang 'i feel i need a little sympathy' she pointed at herself. we didn't care she messed up, it still rocked!
Go Your Own Way-as always, great
World Turning- drum solo was very neat
Don't Stop- Stevie sounded great doing Christine's part.
Goodbye Baby-my 2nd favorite on say you will. great way to end the show. a little sad though.

I went to the St. Louis show and had 6th Row Center. It was the best concert I have ever seen in my life. The song selection was wonderful. The only moment when I even noticed that Christine wasn't there was when Stevie sang her part of Don't Stop. Lindsey was Great! He has so much energy and was just amazing on the guitar. We were close enough that we could make eye contact with Lindsey and he would smile and point at us!
Stevie messed up on the words to Stand Back. She started singing the wrong verse, but laughed it off and got back on track. I did notice at one point that Stevie seemed to limp just a little. I thought she had quite a bit of energy and she did sound great. I couldn't help but to cry when she sang Landslide and Silver Springs. Those songs mean so much to me and to have Lindsey and Stevie singing/playing them right in front of me was one of the most amazing moments. I would recommend the show to anyone. I am actually quite sad it is over and wish I could go see them in another city. Simply stated, it was SUPERB!
Recommendation to anyone who goes: If you have a cell phone that takes pictures, TAKE IT WITH YOU! I saw several people taking pictures on their cell phone. Good Idea!

The show was incredible! Words cannot justify. It was my second and final show this year, I'm sad about that, but the show was amazing. My 10 yr old daughter went with me, she is now a die hard fan!
Lindsey and Stevie are magical together. What else can I say! I would see a show every night of my life if possible.
If you have the chance to go, please TAKE IT!

The show was great and the band was in top form. I think they've gotten better with age - better than 10 years ago when I saw them in St. Louis. Lindsey and Stevie were incredible.....fantastic!!

Wow! What a great show! Lindsey played his heart out! That has to be a tough thing to do at his age. What can I say about Mick Fleetwood. Wow! I admire them all for the work they do at every concert. We sat in the 7th row from centerstage or shall I say we stood. lol. Nobody sat at all. I thought the live performance was as good as the cd. They may have all aged like the rest of us seventies crowd but hey they still know how to rock! My daughter and her boyfriend were with us so it was cool seeing twenty year olds rocking ot the same times we rocked to in the seventies. The Mac will be enjoyed my many generations to come as their music is timeless just like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc. Thanks again for bringing back the memories. -- a big fan in St. Louis!

They put on an awesome show last night. Everytime I see Stevie I feel the need to run out and get a tambourine and a glittery shawl! They still really have it!

The show was excellent, everything I hoped and more.
Stevie was beautiful and her mystical self. Lindsey is an excellent guitarist and it REALLY SHOWED!, a real showman almost manic in his playing. He really enjoys giving a good show to the audience.Mick Fleetwood is also an excellent showman in his own right and proved it in his drum solo on "World Turning" where he got the audience revved up [this towards the end of the concert and first encore] [there were three]. Stevie had several changes of shawls and shawl-like coats [I counted five] to add her stage presence and mystical persona especially on "Gypsy" and "Gold Dust Woman", two of her signature songs.
They did twenty-five songs and it was well worth the ticket [mine was $150 dollars]. Lindsey's shirt was drenched by the middle of the concert,he really sweats his effort in concert especially on "I'm So Afraid" and "World Turning" plus "Stand Back" a solo hit for Stevie. The band exuded alot of gratuity to the audience for just being there and supporting them and because of that I will DO THAT!!
