5 BEING THE BEST

The show was great! My first time to see them live we had good seats.
When I have always been to see a musical group I always try to show my excitement for them to be able to play live for the people, I try to get their attention to wave at me or look my way so I can wave at them. I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. They are like an icon group that one shouldn't pass up the opportunity to see live. I know we've all gotten a little bit older but when I hear music I love I've got to get up and dance. The disappointing fact of the concert was that basically some people around couldn't get into the concert. So I was asked by a man beside me to sit down before he threw me down. I was in the 5-6 row on the balcony. when I told authorities in the arena they threw me out I left my t shirt and couldn't return to get it. It really sucks. I cried for days I didn't get to see the whole show and no shirt as my souvenir. I'll get over it but it hurts that I'll never get another chance to see them. I hope the group was happy with the audience and their reaction to their performance. I will always love Fleetwood Mac music -- who couldn't? I would like to think the band for what I got to see of them. Thank you Mick, Stevie, Lindse. I miss Christine. 1 big fan new and old always. p.s. Where can i get a concert t shirt?

Really high energy show! I expected it to be good, but I was totally unprepared for how wonderful it would be. The crowd was enthusiastic and really into the music. People came to their feet everytime an upbeat song came on, and the Mac gave us very little time to rest. I was thankful for the slower songs to get a chance to sit down, sit back and enjoy the haunting beauty of the music of this band.
One of the highlights of the show was the third song performed - “Eyes of the World.” The original album track, from the “Mirage” album was an okay song, but at the concert it was transformed into a totally unexpected tour de force that had the crowd going wild. When it was over I looked at my wife and the group of friends we were with and everyone was just stunned. I felt like we had gotten our money’s worth by the end of the third song.
And things definitely were NOT downhill from there.
Another highlight was “Beautiful Child.” This was one of my favorite songs off the Tusk album and I was glad to see the band give it it’s long overdue attention. Stevie performed a poignant, lovely rendition of the song, brilliantly capturing the aching longing of the lyrics.
Of course it’s all about Stevie! Stevie was absolutely stunning and her voice was great. Every time she stepped up to the microphone she was met by noisy affection from the audience. When she did her twirls the crowd went wild! Sure she doesn’t move around the stage like a tasmanian devil as in days of old, but who cares? She gave a brilliant performance throughout the night and she had the unconditional love of the entire audience.
Lindsey was a madman. His energy is astounding. He puts to shame every younger guitarist in rock music. He so obviously loves what he is doing and loves sharing his music. He was very nice to the audience. Throughout the show he was shaking hands, signing autographs and even letting people strum his guitar. He and Stevie played well off of each other. They haven’t lost any of the chemistry that has always made this band so alluring.
John McVie was hardly noticeable, as usual, but when introduced he got a huge ovation.
Mick gave a great performance and took center stage on “World Turning.”
The whole band was in fine form. They were all gracious and likable.
The only sad moment was when they went into “Don’t Stop” without Christine. I felt bad because I hadn’t even thought of her until then.
I do miss Christine – she was elegant, laid back and she did bring a real touch of class to the band. But with her or without her this band is a class act and I hope they are around for a long time.
I hope they release a dvd of one of the performances from this tour. And I hope we don’t have to wait another 5 years for a return of the Mighty Mac. At the end Mick promised us that “The Mac is Back.” I hope they stay for a while.

I attended the Indy show earlier, which rocked, but this one topped it! I was running short on cash so I waited to the last minute to buy tickets because I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to go. I tried calling the box office, but they wouldn't sell me tickets over the phone.(???) So I drove to Knoxville and bought tickets just before the show. I ended up getting tickets on Lindsey's side of the stage, 7 rows back. They were awesome seats: I was looking directly where Stevie and Lindsey were lined up.
They all seemed a little more into this show than the one in Indy. Stevie wasn't wearing her boots -- just those weird tennis shoes. Another interesting thing was the absence on stage of Mindy Stein. Some shorter, younger-looking girl was singing. She had a different voice than Mindy, but she did a decent job.
Anyway, I loved the whole show and was pleased to buy a tour book (they didn't have any when I was in Indy). Stevie sang a line in "Gypsy" I had never heard her sing live before: "I still see your bright eyes, bright eyes." She sang it twice toward the end, and was wiping her eyes after the finish of the song. And one of the coolest things happened: during "Stand Back," Lindsey came over to play to us at the side of the stage. I pointed at him as I was singing and clapping and he stopped playing for just enough time to point back. I was so excited I punched my fiancee's leg without thinking. She was just as excited so she didn't hit me back. :) Stevie came over to us during "Don't Stop" and played her tambourine for us, smiling the whole time. Stevie cried as she sang "Goodbye Baby" and the whole crowd was silent as she sang. Some of us cried a little with her -- it was so moving. We all just stood and listened -- very powerful. And better at this show. In Indy, people started leaving, even from the floor, when she sang this one. At the very end of the show, Mick came up to a mic and said "Remember...the Mac is back!" I hope he means there's more to come. :)
The show had me so pumped I almost drove to the show in Chicago the next day. I had the same problem with the cops as someone else with the overlook where the limos were. They cleared everybody away and wouldn't let us watch them come outside. I was so disappointed! To see them leaving would have topped off the best night!

I attended the Knoxville show Friday. I have been to several different concerts. This wasn't a concert. This was an entertaining, spectacular, incredible show!! Lindsey Buckingham has more energy on stage than anyone I have ever seen. Mick Fleetwood's drum solos....OMG!! And of course Stevie's beautiful voice. I could never tire of it. The crowd and audience were enjoyable. It was the type of crowd that you know, they were there for the music. It was an experience that I will NEVER forget.

I really, really enjoyed the show. It was incredible. I started listening to them when I was in high school and have continued and love all their music. They have such a distinct sound. I have seen a lot of concerts (i.e. Jimmy Buffett, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Widespread Panic, The Wallflowers, Matchbox 20, etcetera) but this was by far my favorite one of all. They have so much energy and gratitude and loyalty to their fans and all of this comes out when they perform live. "Landslide" was my favorite I think...it has a bit of personal value to me and brought tears to my eyes. My Mom and I thought Stevie Nicks looked beautiful, sounded just as good as she always has and Lindsey Buckingham is hot! ;) Mick Fleetwood was absolutely hilarious and so talented. They are the best!

Well Knoxville was a nice little experience...we got into the town way early, about 12pm...and I had no idea this was such a college town till then.....their are UT Students EVERYWHERE....so we tried to buy time...by going around....found a cool used book and CD store called McKays....
They weren't letting people come park at the arena till around 4 30, cuz until then there were college ppl parked there...so we parked about four...met a couple of people...and stayed down on the lower level instead of going up to the entrance...and we found this area looking over...and I JUST KNEW THAT IT WAS where the limos would be...there was all kinds of security down there....so SURE ENOUGH at about 5:35 I guess it was....sure enough the huge black limos pulled up...and i was like OMG...We were so close to em, then this cop comes up to us and asks us to move....and we resisted and he agreed....so John gets out and I yell at him and he doesnt respond...then Lindsey and gets out and me and this guy yell his name and wave and he looked RIGHT at us and smiled and waved...that was SO COOL.....So then I'm like WHERE'S STEVIE??
There was a long stretch limo in which her dad got out, and Mindy Stein got out of that one I think too (Mindy waved at me)....and Stevie's 2 dogs....they brought Stevie's dad a little scooter....and yelled HI to him, although he didnt respond his little assistent lady did...And I'm like OK STEVIE DIDNT GET OUT OF ANY OF THESE LIMOS...So about 10 mins later...a little further down the ramp we see Stevie come walkin around the corner, walkin fast with about 4 others, we barely missed her...i dont know where they had let her out...but she snuck in the door...it was so cool!
The concert was great of course...the tourbooks were only 20 bucks, I paid 40 in Atlanta...so I felt jipped lol....the concert WAS awesome...Stevie was energetic as anything, as was Lindsey of course....she went all out in some high notes in GYPSY especially during "i still see your bright eyes, your bright eyes!!!!" She looked so beautiful....The songs were great....great scream during GDW.....Stand Back had many twirls......
A few Stevie kicks here and there....they did their little boxing match again, which turned into a dance.....another highlight in the end Stevie was waving at fans and she took one of her roses off of her mic stand and gave it to a girl in the front row....some girl had also brought 2 things of roses...one had a card that said STEVIE, another with LINDSEY...Lindsey got them and went to give Stevie hers...and couldnt get her attention...finally he bumped her with it and she was surprised and took it....awesome show...more details of i think of em

The show was absolutely incredible. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It was all I expected and much, much more. The band has so much talent and style. All I can say is, keep it up and I would attend another concert of theirs any day!

It was awesome, I wish they had played longer .

I went to the show last night in Knoxville, and it was wonderful. I have been a fan since the early 80s. I gave the show a four simply because I think it would have been a classy idea to at least mention Christine's abscence. She was missed.

Where do I begin? I was just so happy to hear "I'm So Afraid", "Silver Springs", and "Tusk" back to back, because those are my three favorites. "Say You Will" was a highlight of the evening too...there was great chemisty between Stevie and Lindsey for that song. Of course Lindsey was incredible on guitar, phenomenal actually. Mick Fleetwood was a great entertainer, as always, and Stevie was BEAUTIFUL!! I wish I could have heard John McVie more...it seemed like they didn't have the bass turned up enough. In fact, the drums kind of drowned all the other instruments out quite frequently throughout the night. It was hard to hear John on his bass solo in "The Chain," which was disappointing since I was really looking forward to that.
The crowd was of decent size, not a sell out, but the arena was plenty full (probably thanks to the tremendous discount of the tickets a week prior to the show.) The crowd was pretty loud, but not very animated. I think I danced more than anyone there, but hey, I was having a good time!! :-) Most everyone was on their feet for "Don't Stop," so that was great. Overall, it was a fantastic night. The set list chosen was perfect, I couldn't have asked for better. I would have liked to hear "Say You Love Me" and "You Make Loving Fun", but since Christine's now absent it probably wouldn't have been the same anyway. Well, guess that's all there is to say. Fleetwood Mac is SO AWESOME!!!

The show was Great! The line up was well planned, the vocals were incredibly tight and we ALL had lots of fun! Many things get better with age and Fleetwood Mac is one of those things. THANKS!

This was awesome show they played all our old an new favorites. The bass had a little to much rolling for my taste but overall sound was awesome only cut outs was during Buckinghams solo area you could not hear him when he was thrashing the bass an drums overshadowed it

The show was wonderful. After being a fan for 26 years now, I didn't think I could get excited like I used to.. WRONG.....When the lights went down and I heard the first notes, I got goosebumps (and kept them all night long).

I am 17 years old and i went to the concert tonight with my parents. I have been listening to Fleetwood Mac for a while....ever since i saw them on the Today Show last year. I fell in love with the 70s, their style, and their passion. The show was great....one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I could feel how much the band cares for their music, what they do, and their fans.
